FRANCISCO ILLESCAS

COREÒGRAFO Y DOCENTE Fue bailarín en la Compañía Barro Rojo y actualmente es coreógrafo en dicha agrupación dancística. Es Licenciado en Educación Artística por el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA) y cursó los estudios de Maestría en Educación e Investigación Artística en la misma institución. Es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA) en el período de 1997 a 2003 y de 2010 a 2013. También fue becario del FONCA en el rubro de Jóvenes Creadores. En 1992 obtiene junto con Laura Rocha el 2° Premio en el Festival Coreográfico Iberoamericano "Oscar López", en Barcelona, España. Durante 3 años consecutivos obtiene el Premio a la Mejor Coreografía Elegida por el Público del Festival Internacional de Danza de San Luis Potosí, (1999 a 2001). Ha sido Secretario Académico de la Escuela Nacional de Danza Clásica y Contemporánea del Centro Nacional de las Artes (CENART) y miembro del Consejo Académico de la misma institución en varias ocasiones. Su labor docente data de más de 25 años continuos en el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, primero en la Escuela Nacional de Danza Contemporánea y posteriormente en el Centro Nacional de las Artes (CENART) desde su fundación. Ha laborado como docente, investigador y/o coreógrafo en distintas universidades e instituciones de educación superior del país. Actualmente es Profesor en la Licenciatura en Danza Contemporánea del Centro de las Artes de Morelos y también funge como Tutor en el Centro de Producción de Danza contemporánea del INBA.
